Sustainably Harvested Pine from Latvia
Our log cabins are built from carefully selected, sustainably harvested pine trees from Latvia, known for their exceptional strength and longevity. We exclusively use pines that are over 100 years old and have a minimum diameter of 20 cm. This thickness provides superior insulation, making our cabins comfortable and energy-efficient throughout the year, whether in the depths of winter or the height of summer.
Sustainable forestry is at the heart of our sourcing process. By mimicking natural forest cycles, we ensure that our harvesting methods do not deplete resources but instead contribute to the health and longevity of the forest ecosystem. We Use Kiln-Dried Logs
To enhance the durability and performance of our cabins, we kiln-dry all our logs in our own state-of-the-art kilns. This process, which takes 2-3 weeks, carefully reduces the moisture content to approximately 18%, the optimal level for log home construction. Kiln drying ensures that every log used in our cabins meets the highest standards of stability and longevity.
